This emergency-listed site is located in **Southern Lebanon**.
It includes **five** hilltop fortresses named **Beaufort**, **Toron**, **Dubieh**, **Maron**, and **Chama'** that show military architecture from the Crusades to the **19th century**.
Ongoing regional military clashes have caused heavy physical damage and created serious risks for these historical fortresses.

Located near **Nablus** in the **West Bank** within the **State of Palestine**, this site was inscribed on an emergency basis.
It holds archaeological history starting from the **9th century BCE** when Samaria-Sebaste served as the capital of the northern Kingdom of Israel, along with Roman and Ottoman historical layers.
Key threats to this historic area include government land confiscation for parks, regional fighting, building pressures, and natural erosion.
