Our editorial team

Swayam GPSC is produced by a team of experts, teachers and mentors who have cleared some of India’s toughest competitive examinations, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination and the GPSC Class 1 and Class 2 examinations. Several of our team members are serving Class 1 officers. Articles are a team effort rather than the work of any single writer, which is why they carry the organisation as the author rather than an individual byline.

Who is accountable

Swayam GPSC is founded and run by Tanmay Thaker, who is accountable for everything published here, including corrections. Editorial questions and correction requests reach the team directly.

How the work is divided

  • Selection and syllabus mapping: deciding what matters for GPSC and tagging it by paper, subject and topic.
  • Gujarati adaptation: writing the Gujarati edition to read naturally in Gujarati rather than as a translation.
  • Revision layer: building the key takeaways, the daily quiz, the weekly flashcards and the previous-year-question tagging.
  • SAWP model answers: writing the GPSC Mains model answers, which are original work by the team.
  • Corrections: reviewing reader reports and issuing fixes.

Why there is no individual byline

No single person writes an article start to finish. Selection, syllabus mapping, the Gujarati edition and the revision layer are separate pieces of work done by different people, and the notes are drafted with AI assistance. Putting one person’s name on that would misdescribe how it is made. The organisation takes the credit and the responsibility instead.
