Union Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel launched the e-Pratyaropan Digital Platform in New Delhi. This launch took place during the 16th Indian Organ Donation Day event.

e-Pratyaropan is a national single-window portal designed to digitize India's entire organ transplantation system. It connects healthcare facilities, medical specialists, donors, patients, and government officials on one unified platform.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare oversees this national initiative as the nodal ministry.
The National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) acts as the main implementing body for the portal.
The initiative aims to build an honest and fast organ allocation system that stops illegal activities, removes delays, and speeds up life-saving matches through live registries.

The system maintains continuous live records for transplant waiting lists, organ pledges, living and deceased donors, and tissue storage centres.
Automated computer rules based on the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act (THOTA) distribute available organs strictly by medical urgency and location, removing human bias.
Partner hospitals, ROTTOs, and SOTTOs must enter organ recovery alerts and patient surgical details within fixed deadlines, such as 48 hours after surgery.
The platform connects with digital identity tools to verify donor identity and generate valid digital pledge certificates instantly.
It coordinates with the NOTTO Mobile App to track organ transport vehicles in real time along designated green corridors.

A secure and centralized digital system stops black marketing of human organs and guarantees fairness in allocation.
Computer matching cuts manual processing time, helping surgeons transplant critical organs like the heart before they perish.
