The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy launched India's first dedicated wind turbine supply chain management portal named WT-MARUT.
The launch took place during the Global Wind Day Conference held in Goa.

WT-MARUT is India's first indigenous and centralized digital platform designed to manage and track the domestic wind turbine manufacturing supply chain.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) manages and oversees the operation of this portal.
The primary goal is to strengthen local wind manufacturing capabilities and bring inclusion across the entire supply chain.

The platform offers end-to-end visibility across the entire tier-structured wind energy component network from raw materials to final assembly.
It helps businesses comply with domestic sourcing rules under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework smoothly.
The portal acts as a business-to-business platform to help developers find and verify reliable component suppliers quickly.
It connects turbine manufacturers, independent power producers, component designers, and policy regulators in one unified communication space.
Built-in analytics help domestic manufacturers match international quality standards to boost global trade and exports.

India has installed 56.1 GW of wind capacity so far against an estimated potential of 1,164 GW.
The portal will help accelerate wind project development to reach the national target of 100 GW by 2030.
Wind equipment exports crossed ₹12,000 crore in FY 2025-26, and the portal aims to help capture 10% of global exports by 2030 and 20% by 2040.
