**Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth** has taken charge as the **31st Chief of the Army Staff** and unveiled the **VIJAY roadmap** for modernizing the Indian Army.
This roadmap aligns with the Ministry of Defence's **Decade of Transformation (2023-2032)** to build a digitized and multi-domain military force.
The initiative follows the Prime Minister's principle that **JAI leads to VIJAY**, drawing inspiration from the core ethos of **Jai Hind** and **Jai Bharat**.

**Vigilance (V):** This pillar focuses on maintaining high operational alertness and constant vigilance along Indian borders to address evolving security threats.
**Innovation and Transformation (I):** This pillar emphasizes adopting modern military doctrines, cutting-edge technologies, and rapid capability upgrades to handle changing warfare dynamics.
**Jointness and Integration (J):** This pillar promotes deeper coordination among the **Army, Navy, and Air Force**, while integrating civil and military efforts for **Viksit Bharat 2047**.
**Atmanirbharta (A):** This pillar re-dedicates the armed forces to indigenous defense solutions under the guiding ethos of winning wars through self-reliant capabilities.
**Yodha First (Y):** This pillar concentrates on human capital by improving training standards, technical skilling, and welfare systems for everyone from **Agniveers** to veterans and **Veer Naris**.
