The SAT-SAAW is an air-to-ground precision-guided glide weapon created to destroy enemy airfields from a safe distance, boosting accuracy during aerial missions.
The weapon system can be deployed on multiple fighter jets, including the Jaguar, Hawk advanced jet trainer, and Su-30MKI.
Designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the weapon features 60% indigenous content.
The project promotes self-reliance by locally manufacturing key sub-systems like the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Long Impact Delay Fuse, and Twin Store Carrier.

Inducting this glide weapon will improve long-range striking capability for the IAF, strengthen national defence readiness, and advance Atmanirbharta in defence production.
