India and Kyrgyzstan have recently set up a new research center in Bishkek to boost cultural and academic cooperation.
This initiative also marked the release of the first Hindi translation of the famous Kyrgyz epic Manas to promote deeper civilizational dialogue.

The two countries established the International Centre for Civilizational Studies "Manas and Mahabharata" in Bishkek to study their shared epic traditions.
The main aim is to strengthen cultural diplomacy through joint research, academic exchanges, and the preservation of historical stories.

The Centre for Studies of International Relations (CSIR) in New Delhi and the Manas National Academy set up this permanent research platform in Bishkek.
The center will conduct comparative research on the Mahabharata and the Manas epic to explore shared values and philosophical traditions.
The organizers signed cooperation agreements with 7 leading Kyrgyz universities to promote joint research, publications, and faculty exchanges.
The project successfully launched the first Hindi translation of the Kyrgyz epic Manas to make it more accessible to Indian readers.

This project deepens India's engagement with Central Asia through soft power, civilizational dialogue, and people-to-people connections.
It also expands research partnerships, educational exchanges, and humanities scholarship between Indian and Kyrgyz institutions.
