The 23rd Commonwealth Games 2026 will take place in Glasgow, Scotland from 23rd July to 2nd August 2026.
Around 74 nations and territories will send teams to participate in this 10-day event.
Scotland is hosting the Games for the fourth time, having previously hosted in Edinburgh (1970, 1986) and Glasgow (2014).

The Australian state of Victoria was originally chosen in April 2022 to host the 2026 Games.
In July 2023, Victoria cancelled its contract because expected costs soared to between A$6 billion and A$7 billion.
Commonwealth Games Scotland presented a budget-friendly backup plan in 2024 based entirely on existing facilities.
Funding comes mainly from a A$200 million settlement paid by Victoria alongside financial backing from the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).
